  Such shitty, ugly hearted characters and thats what I liked most about it.Yes, even more than the cinematography.

  Watching this was largely an insufferable experience. I had to pause it and come back to it on about 3-4 different days.The narrative moved along well enough, but it just didn't culminate in anything compelling to me until maybe the last 20 minutes.

  The protagonist is also insufferable, which is not uncommon duh storytelling, but that really only works for me as a countermelody to a compelling narrative.Otherwise you're just gritting your teeth begging the movie to come to an end so you can do something else.

  I feel like the tropes used in narratives centering people that are black and socioeconomically unsafe need to re-explored(and I’m sure there is work being made doing that, I’ve seen some)I feel like they can be somewhat stifled by their tendency to be developed around white/middle class/upper class consumption.

  Right down to the music cues, I could detect where this doc was going and when it was going there.
