  Is this obviously a political piece? Yes.
  Does it make valid points? Yes.
  If you can't watch this without immediately getting defensive or thinking about any of it without getting offended, perhaps you need to take a second to wonder why.
  This was a budget movie that was very well made and filmed. It goes to show you can make a good film without having a high budget.

  I think knowing the twist definitely minimizes the impact of a first viewing but it was still a good movie.

  I have a few critiques but nothing that ruined the movie. Overall even after being released over a decade ago this movie still holds up.

  i genuinely liked this movie. i think in the last 30 minutes they showed too much. i enjoyed the mystery of everything before hand though. it almost accomplished that weird lovecraftian vibe but spoiled it in that last 30 minutes. you're arent supposed to see what is so wrong - at least in my opinion with lovecraft. but it was still very good. and one of the closest movies to come to touching that vibe.

  · young mel gibson actually gets the 0.01% hetero in me excited
  · i still have a lot of fucking questions about how society became the way it did
  · the fact that this is connected to the movie Mad Max: Fury Road confuses the shit out of me but i haven't watched the following 2 sequels
  · i'm highly interested to see if the sequels explain ANYTHING

  overall: interesting concept with little to no explanation. characters that i only minimally cared about. some interesting action sequences and a few casualties that were both expected yet shocking how they happened.
