This movie’s got so much style. Look at the directing in the opening bowling alley scene alone. This movie is special. Its characters, its story, its style. It’s all oozing wit and charm. The Coens are special, man. And Jeff Bridges was the perfect actor to play The Dude.
All the actors here give great performances. John Goodman, Steven Buscemi, and Julianne Moore are amazing. Philip Seymour Hoffman is fantastic as Brandt. And of course, John Turturro steals the show…
This kind of horror-comedy doesn’t work for me. There were some cute moments but most of it felt bland and predictable. Watching it with friends made it better though.
