Benji pissed me off most of the time but his sweet moments were still excellent. Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg do great at embodying their characters and I loved the Polish scenery. The character dynamics were interesting but frustrating. I couldn’t connect with the two of them as much as I hoped but seeing them interact with others was still fascinating.

The villainized alien bugs, the politically-motivated space travel, the insufferable human characters used as cannon fodder, the subtle-as-a-sledgehammer political commentary; it’s all here.
Similar to that movie, Mickey 17 gives me a sinking feeling in my stomach. This kind of sci-fi depiction is entertaining but (for me) slightly too depressing for its own good. At least there are moments of hopefulness peeking through.

This kind of horror-comedy doesn’t work for me. There were some cute moments but most of it felt bland and predictable. Watching it with friends made it better though.
