  It's more Moana but maybe that's all the good you can say about this movie. It would actually have been better without the songs none of which are memorable.

  The stakes are not as high and the payoffs similarly not there. Matangi is cool though.

  "My eyes!"

  The opening brawl is pretty awesome and the final one too but other than that this is one of the worst martial arts movies I've ever seen.

  The movie is like a Chinese antiques shop puked out its contents but in a good way.

  Such an unassuming pleasurable depiction of day to day life in Iran. The part where the tailor recounts classic movies while shouting at his assistant is excellent. A shame that he didn't get a part in the movie.

  Makhmalbaf himself remains curiously unexamined in this drama other than through his younger self. What is the price to save humankind? Maybe there were already enough layers, double takes and missed connections in this story. All in all those obscure more than…
