  charles pierce you son of a bitch you’ve done it again

  but really, this is a pretty good piece of historical embellishment from the same awesome dude who made the legend of boggy creek. this is better than boggy creek in all the technicalities, though not a story that’s charming at all.
  ben johnson is very ben johnson in this and it’s great. pierce includes some really weird moments of humor, especially in the character of spark plug, an incompetent…

  i’m writing this review at the beginning of the final act. did want to keep watching past the first but clearly i think i’ll live forever.

  wow now i realize that some atheists really do go overboard and become fundamentalists themselves.
  i like religious horror better when it’s about demons and shit actually.

  it was okay. hugh grant was really good actually. production design was bananas.
