  There are some exceptionally high moments that work, some moments don't.

  The first half feels tedious, with Murali Gopy relying heavily on exposition to set up the story. While the use of a Facebook Live segment adds a clever touch to it, the delivery remains somewhat uninspired.

  A very mid movie that is a good star vehicle.

  Adolescence 2025

  'Adolescence' is phenomenal.

  I really appreciate how much this subverts what seemingly would just be another true crime whodunnit into, instead, a 4 part glimpse into how we have failed our kids and all the generations to come. Especially young boys exposed to 'Manosphere' and 'black pill' stuff.

  And yeah, the one take gimmick may be played out but it works so effectively here that I'd completely forget it was happening anyways because I was so invested. And having to rely on teenage actors to cry real tears on cue like 47 minutes into a take is fucken impressive on its own.
