Once again, life in 1950s America looks like just the absolute pits.
And a 50s Catholic university? I think I’d rather take my chances in the Korean War.
Anyway Indignation is an admirable film. Handles its characters with a lot of respect, never reducing anyone to a caricature. Sarah Gadon and Logan Lerhman are both very good, playing quiet rebels, taking their less than ideal forced environments with mostly good nature, but smiting beneath the surface.
Tie goes to Sarah though as she really feels true to the time.
