Amazing mix of tones. It’s affectionate, funny, sweet and violent when it needs to be. Men are getting older, the 60s were amazing, the movie and TV industries were hard but rewarding places to be. Pitt and DiCaprio are both fantastic and their flawed characters are richly and warmly drawn. This is a great film about a time and place and friendships (and murder) that will probably disappoint anyone looking for a blast of hyped up style, but be an absolute delight to anyone wanting more Quentin with their Tarantino.
