The Boondock Saints 1999
A blazing pace and fiery passions swept me as a viewer into this world through in-your-face y2k editing and just an insane plot… that feels more or less realistic. Is Boston really this fucked up?
Reminded me of Children of God and more recently Kneecaps, but this had its own distinct flavor.
This is like the prize possession of a crime-movie-loving DVD collector…(think Nick Frost in Hot Fuzz) nostalgic in the best way possible. Like an appetizer for The Departed.
Irish af, and very clearly sends a message about vigilantism… scary or not this is such good entertainment

Had strong Okja energy, which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s also not my fav energy from Bong. I like his darker, more serious stuff.
