  I respect with what it was going for with exploring how we all wrestle with trauma in our own ways. but man, it just didn’t click for me. At 90 minutes, it somehow felt like it dragged on forever. Good intentions but yeah it wasn't that great.

  This felt like basically a Black Mirror episode stretched into a movie, kind of twisted. Didn't mind it, the pacing kept things moving nicely. A solid little sci-fi thriller if you're into that sort of thing.

  Wow, what did i just watch....

  The Substance starring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley, it’s got that eerie, Cronenberg vibe that had me hooked from start to finish. It’s gross and unsettling, but in the best way possible.

  The way it was shot reminded me of "Requiem for a Dream," with those intense, discomforting scenes that just pull you in. And seriously, what was that last 20 minutes? Pure cinematic gold! This is easily my movie of the year!

  This was true horror.

  If you like films that really mess with your head, you’ve got to check this one out. This is the one.

  Rebel Ridge 2024

  Well, I just finished Rebel Ridge, the latest film from Jeremy Saulnier. It didn't quite live up to the hype I had after watching "Green Room" and "Blue Ruin." It's not a bad film by any means, but it didn't hit the same high notes as the others. That said, I thought Aaron Pierre absolutely killed it. He's a beast in this movie, battling through a messed-up justice system with intensity. But yeah, I think I was chasing the feeling I had watching Green Room for the first time, which I didn't get from this one.
