  The overlong first half brought this down for me, but only slightly. I loved the sequences where the Bride escapes the hospital, as well as the Hattori Hanzo scenes and MOST OF ALL THE VERNITA GREEN SCENE, but I still felt like they didn’t justify the film’s overall length, and felt like style over substance.   Caught the last 30 minutes on TV first thing when I woke up. Banging score, and some pretty cool effects. A very basic story, but a pretty creepy villain. This probably gave a couple thousand kids nightmares back in the day.

  OK Kanmani is a film that tries to tackle modern romance, as well as relevant social concerns such as live-in relationships and commitment issues. However, the film falters in how it chooses to explore these themes, resulting in an occasionally touching, but overall uncommitted and half-baked final product.
