The overlong first half brought this down for me, but only slightly. I loved the sequences where the Bride escapes the hospital, as well as the Hattori Hanzo scenes and MOST OF ALL THE VERNITA GREEN SCENE, but I still felt like they didn’t justify the film’s overall length, and felt like style over substance.
