  Still rules. Still underrated.

  I don’t think we’ll ever see a movie with such practical scale ever again. Shooting in 28 countries is absurd (many of them just for a shot or two). Nobody wanted to finance this and it ended up bankrupting the director, and that was pre-2008 recession. But damn I love looking at real people doing real things in real places. And it’s even crazier when you learn how they patched the film together on the backs…

  Yet another rewatch. Still rules. There’s a reason they just added it to the library of congress for “cultural significance.”

  Holds up. The humor is sooo of the time. But a lot of the jokes still REALLY got us. Forgot about the meta narrative aspect, but I think that’s the glue that makes the whole thing work!
