  Some executive at DC half a decade ago must have walked into the office one day and said, “too many people like Thomas Wayne! We have to tarnish Thomas Wayne’s reputation!!!” because he has not looked good in Tom King’s Batman run or Joker or this. 

  The ways that Paul Dano moves his body are unnerving to me. He is the best and I love him. 

  Showing Batman do detective work? Stellar. Show him miss a bunch of important stuff because he’s still getting the hang of it? Beautiful.

  Accepting now that I will never be really satisfied with one of my Malick reviews could be hugely beneficial to my ongoing happiness. 

  This is a beautiful depiction of ugliness. The dissolution of the human family is in full display, chiefly in war but also in all sorts of side realities. It is against this backdrop of evils both moral and natural that the good shines through: protecting one’s men, noble self-sacrifice, rescuing the wounded, brave daring.
