  The central section is fun but the final act is bitty and unfocused. Teller has no presence at all.

  The ending to this is so clumsy and abrupt that I reduced the rating by one star. The chilly atmosphere is offset by faceless characters and a miscast lesd.

  Hugely enjoyable meander through the great films of Powell and Pressburger. Scorsese concentrates on what the films mean to him rather than biographical details of the two lives. He gives the two men their full due but Emric remains the shadowy one. He does get the last word though.

  Watched at FrightFest. Didn’t like the film but was more irritated by what I presume was the cast and crew whooping and clapping at every title credit, so that the dialogue was inaudible.
