  Sucks that it took David Lynch’s passing for me to finally get around to this one. Still need to watch Inland Empire, Eraserhead, and the apparently unstreamable Elephant Man. 

  For some reason I was confident I would “understand” this one, but who was I kidding. On a similar note, the ratio from “what the fuck” to “fuck yeah” balances perfectly on a scale that every second feels it’s about to tip and break the scale but never does.

  I really enjoyed this and the way Eggers is able to take you to a time and place. Surprisingly, no one has really mentioned the sound design from what I’ve seen/heard about the film, but that was a big piece of the puzzle for me. It was totally nerve racking.
