    I'm not one for hate watching. The avalanche of critical reviews make it seem like that's why I ventured to watch THE ELECTRIC STATE.

    Reason #1: I was curious about the effects. $320 should look amazing... And it does. In the same way I watch Jurrasic Park sequels for fancy dinos, this gives me the same feeling. Impressive in the moment but it won't leave an imprint on me.

    I'm a fan of Lowell Dean's previous work and I appreciate wrestling, so this was an easy sell for me. This film doesn't resemble wrestling films you've seen before because of the legitimate horror elements and the dedication to character development.

    Ayisha Issa as Miss Bahave holds this film together, even though Chris Jericho or Steven Ogg may be more recognizable.The performances are grounded even if the action set pieces are extreme.
