I was surprised I felt the opening scene on the little island had some fx that seemed a bit cheap-looking. I was like dang, what was all the hype for about the vfx. Then I realized for the rest of the movie that they put most of the dollars in the very small budget toward all the other sequences where gojira is full grown, and wow, you can see every dollar…
