The DIY approach here matches its subject well. If you like eccentric artists and conceptualists, you’ll probably enjoy it.

Generally cosy and chilled even though it is apparently set against an eco-disastrous backdrop… It’s a simple film so there is not much I could say that wouldn’t spoil it so I won’t. The cat is adorable. The animation is incredible and the way the world is right now, it is nice to get a break from humans.

Exceptionally well done account of a bona fide genius - a complex, intelligent and very sensitive soul who tragically ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time more than once... Pretty devastating film with some heavy themes - e.g. drug abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, robbery, prison, death… probably best to avoid if you are in any kind of fragile state of mind. Judee herself was extremely frank (e.g. introducing herself as an ex prostitute and heroin addict)…

I never watched this until now as I believed critics’ views that it was best avoided… It pretty much has all the elements to make it a cult classic though - OTT performances, irreverence 😳, weirdness, grossness, some hilarious moments, a cool soundtrack… If Danny Peary ever writes volume IV of his cult movie books (amazing books btw), this could well be featured… It is probably not for everyone but if you grew up with Tom Green, I’d say give…
