I love Anora now. I felt much more connected to the character the second time around. And she was unlike any protagonist I’ve seen before. It’s really hard to put her in a box. She’s not just a damaged stripper.

I hate-watched the first half, because I mistook what it was doing. I thought it was about to be a big cliche—like a modern, more-grimy Cinderella story—which is why I felt so hateful.
