    The story demanded more patience than I was expecting, but not through the entire film. It pulls you in, initially, seeing Lee's interactions in the 1950s Mexican setting– but his complex relationship with Allerton takes its time to develop and understand.     First Godzilla film I've ever seen– kinda got thrown into it suddenly, but it got me interested in some of the world-building.

    Overall, what mostly stood out to me most was visual effects, a few frame compositions, and some of the vivid color grading. The computer-generated animation was very intense– between Ghidorah and Godzilla waking up, and the fight between all of the monsters. The design of Mothra broke up the dark visuals beautifully.
