Watched for a class, but I’ve just got to say I think this is still my favorite “classic” Disney movie. It’s just so perfect. Has the best songs, the most relatable characters, and the animation is genuinely stunning, especially the underwater sequences where their faces and hair melt with the flow of the water. It was okay. I respect it a lot, but it just felt really disjointed. Very pretty film with a very gross subject matter. Anytime Elvis mentioned Priscilla being in school or “taking care of her” my skin crawled.
