  Once Upon a Time in China 1991

  A wild Kung fu movie with one of the best ending set pieces I've seen in this genre. The story here is hard to follow, with unclear motivations and plot contrivances, but it all somehow gels together in the final confrontation with every faction converging on American territory. There's an attempt at subtlety and nuance in diplomatic relations but it all feels very surface.

  This took a long time to get into, but by the time it gets going I was gripped by the action. It's paced poorly for being so long and feels it's length, but the wait for the finale is worth it.

  I really enjoyed this. The story is fun and I like the main characters, and they feel real. I was invested by the end as to how they'd get out of the wacky situation. All men die which is probably a positive. It's so fucking dark that if I could see about 30% more of the movie i'd bump it up a half star

  I'm the biggest Wendigo Enthusiast out there, and all I wanted was for Wendi to be on screen doing fun things. What we got was a rough intro with very unlikable characters, and it felt like it didn't really pick up until 40 minutes in. The story doesn't really have any depth and the dialogue is nonsense and hard to hear at times.

  The Wendigo outfit was awesome though, and some fun moments and its short length keep this from being truly bad. Still waiting for that truly great Wendigo film.

  I will remember this night on my death bed

  It's quite unbelievable that this ended up being WORSE than Undead. I thought the bottom had been hit, but there is always another shovel to dig. Nigel can't even create 15 minutes of his own content without begging for donations. Ben isn't even a character anymore, reduced to a minor poop gag. The passion is gone, Nigel is dead inside, and we don't even get fan service without being interrupted by…
