But it’s genuinely wild how Bong Joon Ho can change my life with a movie like parasite and then put something out that could have easily slipped through the cracks on Netflix. Classic misdirection!
Similar to when I reviewed Malignant I have an undeniable soft spot for originality and unpredictability. Let me tell you, watching this in a crowded theater elicited very amusing reactions from theater goers and myself! Rarely have I been kept guessing like I was with Barbarian. It’s a great time and the only reason I didn’t rate it 4 stars is because I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as Malignant.
