Another example of a bunch of talented people both in front of and behind the camera turning up, doing their jobs, and good movie resulting from it.
A solid action thriller; my only criticism is that this is probably more complicated than it needs to be; the core story and characters are all that's necessary. That being said, it's plotted so perfectly you can hum to it.
Most importantly. it also handles it's depiction of neurodevelopmental disorders better than many films have done. Probably still not perfect, but let's call it progress.

I figured if I should've watched this instead of 'Spectre', I should watch it anyway.

...It's barely a film.
It's an action story with no conflict by way of a dreadful Von Danniken-esque pseudoscience documentary with awful "historical re-enactments" whilst simultaneously adapting a post-therapy Hideaki Anno anime that doesn't exist all while the titular character mainlines Spice Melange as she's chugging the Water of Life at the same time yet only becomes the Kwisatz Haderach in her mind whilst imagining a visit to the Planet of the Apes...
...It's not good at all. But I enjoyed it immensely.
