Relic 2020
Relic explores the real life horrors of old age and what it can do to a family. The tension builds slowly but with purpose towards a 3rd act that sticks the landing. Rather than resort to cheap jump scares the film builds its horror through what you think you see in the dark corners of the old house. When what lurks in the shadows is finally revealed it makes it all the more terrifying.

The first film I have watched at the cinema in 2015 will be quite possibly the best I see all year. 'Birdman' is 2 hours of spellbinding film-making. The reason why I love animated films is that they can transport you to any world imaginable and there is no limit to what can be brought to the screen. Many people I know underestimate animation as purely children's entertainment but when its done right it can be something truly special. Sadly however '9' isn't the revelation its promising opening and concept suggested it might have been.
The animation is simply superb and the backdrop of a desolate abandoned wasteland…
