  Rewatched this with my dad on Christmas Eve.
  I have never seen that man laugh more than when we watched the Steve Martin Pink Panther in the cinema. Specifically, the scene where Inspector Clouseau’s finger gets stuck in a door. He was similarly crying tears of joy throughout this

  For me, this is the perfect comedy - it’s wacky, but not too slapstick - the humour is timeless, but not without character

  Lost Angel: The Genius of Judee Sill 2022

  More obituary than biopic, but I’m still happy it exists as a fan and it could be a good entry point for new ones. Judee Sill died young in the 70s and it shows, old flings recount stories from 50 years ago with a glimmer in their eye and a lot of missing detail. It’s clear the movie resides in a shadow of a person that couldn’t be characterised richly enough in 90 mins. Also everyone who I watched this with agreed it might have been a mistake to thaw out David Geffen to defend himself this time
