  I'm not joking this is pure cinema, I had a pirated cd version of this movie when i was a kid and I watched it everyday. I'm so glad that I watched this extremely good written animated movie. The script, the camerawork everything still holds up to this day.

  This movie about a family enduring a dictatorship in Brazil in the 70s is a political drama that made me feel something that no other political drama about injustice has done before.  This family was forced to confront a harsh reality from this era in Brazil, where the people arrested by the government vanish without explanations.

  Movies like this are the reason why cinema is the best art form. This movie is so much more about loneliness in a city, is about letting go by changing your life starting by the smallest details. If you really want to let go of the past and continue with your life you must accept this changes. Both stories encompass this message, but the second one is the one that reinforces this themes by introducing Faye.
