I don’t connect with Bong Joon Ho’s English-language work nearly as much, but I found this to be fun. I think the humor just comes across a little more over-written and heavy-handed when he works in English, but he gets actors to go for it like few others can which I appreciate. I’d like to watch it again.

Wish everyone wasn’t like “nobody say a fucking word about this bonkers movie to anyone or else” because it’s good as hell but I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and it never did because this movie isn’t really *that* out there as far as contemporary horror goes. Nevertheless, it rules. Outstanding cinematography, most of all. Excellent camera moves.
