I've been wanting to rewatch this one on a New Year's night for a couple of years now, and finally got to do it. It's such a beautiful film, full of detachment but still conveying so much emotion. Going through the existential journey with Lena has been a therapeutic and a strangely hopeful experience.

One of those rare occasions where you start watching the film and almost immediately recognize that the director is working, like, on a completely different plane of perception. Will definitely revisit this one.

For sure, it's a very niche film. It doesn't tell any grand story, and it doesn't try to educate or introduce the viewer to a certain music subculture. It's mostly about people who come across death in various forms, and it mainly revolves around the death of Dmitry Vasilyev,…

Even better on rewatch. Also, what a performance by Raúl Castillo, he's the hidden MVP here.
