  What a weird one. Has some prominent troubling time travel tropes but an interesting premise and killer visuals. It doesn’t hurt that no one told the main players this is a B-movie so they bring way more to it than it kinda deserves. Unfortunately this kind of ending is hard to land and Knightly’s American gal doesn’t meet the level of others. Kristofferson brings a pathos to the mad scientist that got under my skin in a good way. I wish he played more villains because he always nailed it.

  There’s something about Canadians playing American tough guys that’s really funny but super effective. Still a great watch especially when it kicks into high gear at the end.

  A lot of threads going on in this one and they’re mostly all hits thanks to a bonkers cast and killer writing.

  “Your ship has shipped” is brilliant and we should boycott this dumb place for not letting you give 15 stars.
