  Tuwing bumibili ako ng Mamon lagi ko nalilimutan na kahit gano kasarap ang expectation ko Mamon pa rin lang siya. Kahit na parang mamumula at mabango siyang ilalagay sa paper bag ay pwede pa rin siyang maglasang luma na kapag di na mainit.

  That’s what it feels like entering the cinema more than excited for Breadwinner vs the actual experience of watching something that feels like an unedited director’s cut of a Showtime skit.

  Terribly frustrating when you think of why Ned can't allow himself to face his feelings head on for Bujoy, despite well, really loving her. How they end up with each other is somehow questionable and not as bearable as I thought it would be even if this is Marvin/Jolina soaked with 90s nostalgia against the beautiful Baguio backdrop. But at the end of the day, the very memorable rendition of Ang Huling El Bimbo does outweigh all the not-so-tolerable bits of this film, kinda.
