    Certain Women

    In theme with Kelly Reichardt's depiction, I ask you; Would you call this film boring if it were directed by Tarantino? Sure there would be more blood, but the long wide shots of Montana highway and monotonous farm tasks, the "boring" parts, wouldn't look much different. Reichardt creates a kind of monotony that eats at you, it isn't boredom, it won't put you to sleep but rather keep you wondering, guessing, expecting. What you are left with is what you will make of it. We are given certain women, some men who got screwed, and not much more, but enough to feel a great deal.

    Young Mr. Lincoln is right on the border between a touching wholesome picture and a sappy predictable feature glorifying the legacy of everyone’s favorite president.
