Its not fair how good this movie is. Digimon has always been brushed off as an”Pokémon clone” because people just see evolving monsters and assume it’s the same. But in reality Digimon has always been less about the monster battling and more about how the human kids grow change and relate to one another, with monster battling being a convenient tool to show children character growth by the monsters literally growing and changing fantastically. It’s got omnimon, it’s got style, what more can you want?
Somehow not as different than the first one was to its dubbed counterpart, this one kept a lot of the gags.
Now I gotta track down summer wars since this is apparently the beta version of that.
