First off, drunk jimmy stewart. Second, drunk jimmy stewart.

Going into this I really just wanted one good scene where Jimmy and Cary went toe to toe and while I didn’t quite get that, what I did get was confirmation that no one has ever done it better than Katharine Hepburn, a true 1 of 1, peerless now, then, and forever. The kind of weird mish mash that makes one suspicious of the good stuff if it came from the same place as the bad. Finding a hairball in your juicy cheeseburger. I felt like a math teacher grading a hyperactive kid’s test, seeing that he absolutely nailed hard equations while failing at really simple stuff, like cmon kid I know you got it in you, why can’t you follow through?

Filmmakers love architects, maybe it’s because a building is essentially structure with adornments which I guess is what a movie is.

    Anyway,…
