Strange and entertaining but I never want to think about it again
What can I say Robert Eggers knows his lane (gothic horror where people inexplicably have an old English accent). This movie definitely peaks in the first act but I still found the relationship between the main three characters (Ellen, Thomas, orlok) to be interesting enough to keep me hooked.
Do we need to “get” a movie to enjoy it? Do the people working on a movie need to “get” it? What does it mean to “get” a piece of art?
