  Such a complicated movie with so much to talk about. It def wasn’t as *revolutionary* in its depiction of Native Americans as I sort of thought it would be based on the hype, but still led to some really interesting critiques of Ethan’s brand of violent white masculinity.

  I especially appreciated the relationship between Ethan and Martin and Martin’s Cherokee ancestry. And the scene where they were shooting the buffalo and Martin tried to restrain Ethan, only for the latter…

  Me in part one: bring back patrons of the arts LOL 😍
  Me in part two: patronage is a form of control, meant to keep him at beck and call. His only safety and comfort in America has had a heavy asterisk next to it, forcing him into inferiority and instability. Fuck patronage!

  Also, Adrien Brody is the hottest mf on earth. And this is a Jewish Revenge Movie (TM) if I’ve ever seen one.
