I have never watched a film I would put in the same genre as this. It is one in its own. It is captures the beauty of being young and free, new friendships, and learning about life in ways you never had before. Becoming your own person, taking risks and living in the now. timothee played a great bob dylan. eric cartman esk voice noted by friend and couldnt unhear it after. he wanted to get rich and famous and then hated becoming rich and famous.. a tale as old as time.
good music, good acting, could have taken more time to reflect on his rise to fame as was a bit rushed, didnt portray to the extend it could of how wild it was to shift to electric guitar within the context of the time.
in general I liked it, 3.5 from me. the lime bike fine was worth it tim.
This film managed to make me feel nostalgic for something I never experienced and a time period I didn’t live through. The characters were extremely complex and interesting with amazing acting from Paul Giamatti and Dominic Sessa. It’s so rare in modern film to truly capture the essence of the past but this was quintessentially 70s. Watching this in the middle of summer made me yearn for the christmas season to roll around. This might be a new favourite of mine!

I went into this film knowing absolutely nothing. In actual fact (and I don't know why looking back) but I thought this would be a lighthearted family story about wrestling. I am indeed naive, and boy do I know that now. The brotherhood that is torn apart by the misguided and manipulative father is heartbreaking. They were just four boys who got lost in the trust they had in their dad. The reunion scene started…
