I don’t care how on the nose Mark Ruffalo’s performance was, it was funny. Robert Pattinson must be thrilled he’s finally getting to play little freaks in so many movies. Insanely good performances - chief scientist as a personal highlight - but there’s a handful of… less good, which threw me off a few times. I like how claustrophobic the cinematography makes the ship feel. Grew a little tired of the narration by the end. Sauce.
Pretty standard 2000s Disney. I think I’d feel stronger about this if I’d grown up watching it. I feel like there’s this comfort with Disney movies cause you know they won’t end bad, which also removes any risk from the film cause you know it won’t end bad.

Classic. Edgar Wright’s ability to parody high-concept Hollywood tropes in the most mundane British settings, in this alongside Shaun of the Dead, is so brilliant. It’s so funny when you accidentally get immersed and suddenly remember how unserious the entire plot is. Absolute icon of a film, and the best of the Pegg/Frost cornetto trilogy.
