This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Nope represents an era of new filmmakers and producers who are willing to take riskier moves to stand out. By all means, this is not a "risky" movie. You have some of the greatest talent from Black-Hollywood in a niche (horror film) where spectacle is encouraged.
Everything about the film asks you to reevaluate your relationship with spectacle. Jupiter (played by Steven Yeun) ignores, or perhaps rejects, the traumatic violence occurred by his co-star Gordy The Chimp. From his failure…

Blade Runner 1982
This was actually my first watch of Blade Runner. I have been lying to Dan for years.
If this movie receives a low score for simplicity then so should many of the great art films in our generation. Some things are better left unsaid. What's not said is shown through the excellent character design and atmospheric environments.
