I am surprised that there are no reviews of this film here, I guess I will be the first.
I heard of this movie through an instagram page (cinemau) which had a post on Mammooty breaking the 4th wall in the film, with an explanation on what breaking the 4th wall means. I have developed a habit of 'discovering' films by keeping a list of titles that I come across through conversations, social media posts and other recommendations, and I watched this movie because of that instagram post.
What a beautiful story, with fantastic editing. I don't really know what the cuts where the scene transitions seamlessly into different periods of time are called, I have seen the same kind of cuts in the 1998 Hollywood movie 'Lonestar', they were impressive.

why am I crying? This film has my whole heart.
Really impressed by some of tv chandrans editing choices and narrative style. Very deep and emotionally moving. Some of the transitions really suprised me . Ikka as always delivers a terrific performance as an old man trying to find meaning in his life.

70 years of Indian and Kerala history are told through the life of Daniel Thompson, aka Dany. Yet Dany was ignorant of these historical happenings and travelled all alone in his life. Who was Dany? A dirge singer, a saxophone player, a husband, a father. But was he really any of these? Dany was married twice- Clara and Margaret. But both of them didn't have any love for Dany.
