Are women wasps? Kisses chains?
I wasn't expecting to dig this as much as I did. Despite the obvious darkness therein it's conceptually a bit cute, and I'm notoriously annoying about such things. But it was a neat lil trip in experiencing the world, and I loved the lust for life and childlike wonder!! I want to feel new things!! Also, the score felt a bit repetitive.
Getting some last minute ~desolately hopeless cinema~ on the docket before spring enters my life, hitting me over the head with a concussing steel chair of joy. Like most Von Trier movies this showcases his ability to create a terrifying, empty evil that might have a foothold in the core of humanity, but hopefully is actually just the complete eschewing of it. The intimacy of the stage setting makes this one feel disturbingly close, amping up the discomfort. Good job!
