  The pacing was crazy - years passed in 2 minutes and it was difficult to keep track of the relationship status between all of the characters. At times, the message was poignant, but did not make up for the general staleness. Perhaps I will read the book because the character development / relationships had an interesting spark.

  This was fun. I almost expected it to get a little crazier? There weren’t as many layers to the story, but I loved all the performances.

  My expectations weren’t necessarily through the roof - but it exceeded them! I mean COME ON! The vocals are just …….. there’s no words. However! If I had to review objectively without how mesmerized I was by their voices (I know it’s a musical but I’m trying to think critically here) I feel like the plot lacked development between multiple relationship dynamics across the board. For example, I feel like I needed at least one more scene between Elphaba & Fieyro to truly believe she loved him. Holding space & staying tuned for Part 2.
