I don't think I care for Eli Roth's work anymore.

A profoundly astonishing example of the magic of cinema and the beauty of the human soul. Visually stunning absurdism with a great heart and an eye for detail. Admittedly, the chaos becomes overwhelming midway through but by the end of this kaleidoscopic, psychoactive persistence of vision, tears were in my eyes and my grin was Cheshire Cat wide. Not since The Matrix has there been a movie that made reality more questionable after leaving the cinema and that's a notable thing. Could not recommend more.

This is the first Yorgos Lanthimos film I have seen and I admit, I have been sleeping on a cinematic genius. This film is a visual treat and delight. The story world of the film is a decadent, surreal, art nouveau, retro sci-fi wonderland and the characters that occupy this world are embodied by some superb direction and performances. The messaging of the film is on point as well; a message that was originally posited by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley and now made contemporary by director Lanthimos and actor Emma Stone. I will be watching more of Lanthimos' films, without a doubt.
