    Sabotage

    A very unapologetic yet satisfyingly entertaining Arnie lark with a really solid supporting cast. Ayer throws it back to the gritty OTT violent days of the 80s while matching it with a storyline he's usually at home with. Case and point - End of Watch.

    A cheeky way to spend 90 minutes in a cinema. The only problem is that there's nothing really new to the formula of neighbors at war; whatever setting or characters they be. At least from the Superbad crowd, it strikes familiar humorous tones that the target audience will enjoy. I kinda liked how Zac Efron got more OTT in his attempts to hold the greatest frat party ever and some of the jokes, however juvenile, did make me chuckle. The…

    A good solid slice of man versus beast in this Australian drama. Would make a good double bill with The Grey. Nice to see Dafoe in a lead role again and he goes good work here. My main problem with the film is the third act shock change is done so passively that it lacks the emotional punch it's supposed to and in the end, it dwindles what had been a good character piece. Still worth watching.

    It seems like a perfect marriage of story with film maker.

    Let's get this out of the way first, Pain and Gain will not change the Bay-haters around. It's more, if restrained, of the same tricks Bay is infamous for implementing in his films. So, if you get frustrated or insulted by his films, you'll be fine missing this.

    But to those who like his earlier work like Bad Boys, The Rock, etc, Pain and Gain is a welcome return…
