Rise of the Guardians 2012
This is a film that definitely fits into the 'strictly-for-kids' category of animation.
I was seduced by the trailer, which suggested a bit of 'How To Train Your Dragon' style flying sequences and some decent action set pieces. Unfortunately both of these aspects of the film are short lived and underwhelming. There's some vaguely adult-friendly psychology in Jack Frost's need for belonging and faith, but it's drowned in cutesiness.
