  A perfectly watchable Friday night at the movies. Mostly solid acting and a likable heroine make the journey worthwhile. The marsh is lush, and filled with flora, fauna and secrets.
  It suffers from some pacing issues, and a run of the mill story, however at no point does it try to present itself as more than that. 
  Above all things, I enjoyed the leading lady’s fight to survive, and discover herself in the wild.

  The scenic shots are gorgeous and built for IMAX, the acting is exceptional and there Is a chilling story inside here, somewhere. Unfortunately…
  The film overstays its excruciating runtime. It meditates on nothing, on themes, and on symbols to catalyze conversations in the days after viewing.
  An interesting side story is shoehorned in - which feels like an excuse for the weak main story and plot “reveal”. While the side story is quite effective in generating a scare, it seems…
