  Very happy to have finally watched this. I think 2000s comedies can tend to be a mixed bag, but this was still hilarious. Great performances from everybody involved. Yes, even Russell Brand. No surprise he’s so good at playing narcissistic assholes.

  And once again, we’re doing the MCU from the top (probably just through Endgame)! I can’t believe I haven’t watched this in 4 years. Holds up pretty well.

  My second TSAY Film Club pick.

  A movie that truly oozes “divorced guy” energy, as so many others on here have said. This is a solid 90s action romp hampered by James Cameron apparently projecting his marital issues onto the script, resulting in 20-30 unnecessary minutes of Helen being tormented by Harry and Gib. Despite that, the action sequences, effects, and performances really hold up and keep the vibes from being irreversibly off.

  Generic Netflix action movie #4,725. Decently fun but pretty forgettable. They must have paid a ton for Cameron Diaz to come back for this. She could do better. I will not remember anything about this movie in a week.

  Also, not every action movie needs to have needle drops for every fight scene! You don’t have to try to be Guardians of the Galaxy!
