  Rebecca Taylor has achieved every goal she mentioned in this doc. Incredibly dope of her.

  I enjoyed this even though it wasn’t the most technically proficient film (mostly thinking of some poorly mic’d up conversations). The live performances were the best part but it’s also a decent depiction of two people who don’t hate each other, but also can’t go down the same path anymore. And it shows how quotidian misery can be.

  I am sort of over the “I’m just happy someone out there is making whatever weird movie they want to make” takes about Megalopolis. There are certainly moments of creativity that work, but they are drowned out by so much nonsense. I could imagine seeing this again in a “bad movie night” scenario but probably not for any other reason.

  When I heard the great book Bullshit Jobs was an inspiration for Megalopolis, I did not imagine every major character would…
