    Is Barbie the scathing feminist satire it set out to be? I think at times it does definitely achieve this. I think for Gerwig to find such a big audience for her film she had to encase it in this perhaps over done concept of setting it in Barbieland, although think it's cleverly done.

    I’ve had a rough year and dealt with it by living a bit of a hermit-like existence. This was the first film I’ve seen at the cinema in years. It was a wonderful re-entry point. I like the Icelandic films of Baltasar Kormákur. Touch is a fairly slow and simple story, but has a lot going on.
